We went to the San
Francisco Heritage Music Festival with the Sheldon Band in April, 2001.
Sheldon recieved two gold medals (one for the concert band and one for
the jazz band) and a silver medal (for the percussion ensemble.)
Here's a picture of the concert band working hard!
Here's the jazz band. The saxophone
soloist is Andrew Liss.
Here's the band teacher, Gene Perry, with
his new object of affection. The trophy was for the highest point
accumulation for any band at the festival. (In other words, THE
BEST SCHOOL AT THE FESTIVAL!)
